Summer is just around the corner and school will be out! The Hunterdon
County Department of Parks & Recreation has camps for music, art, crafts
and acting! Craft Camp – the possibilities are endless in the world of creating unique
objects of art. Get messy and enjoy the garden too! Our Performance Camp will be held
at our beautiful Deer Path Park location under the Cedars Pavilion! Plenty
of shade and a playground for down time. The Creative
Theater campers will be acting on the stage in the Main
Lodge at Echo Hill, surrounded by woods and a lovely
pond – the perfect atmosphere for creativity. Our musicians will be meeting at
Hunterdon Central High School for Orchestra Camp! Illustrator Lena Shiffman
will be encouraging youngsters to draw and paint in the Arboretum
classroom, with a chance to paint in the garden as well!

Brushing Violets is a New Jersey Chapter of the Society of
Decorative Painters. Our goal is to stimulate interest and
appreciation for decorative art through friendship and learning
opportunities. We offer classes and seminars with both local
and national teachers. Members also participate in community
service projects. We welcome all levels of painters to come
and join us! Our next monthly meeting is on Wednesday,
May 3, from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Clinton Presbyterian
Church at 91 Center Street in Clinton. There will be a short
business meeting followed by a painting program. Guests Are

The Garden Club of Hunterdon Hills invites anyone in
thenorthern Hunterdon County area who shares an interest
in gardening, horticulture, agriculture and conservation to
join us! At our May meeting, the club will carpool to GCNJ
Headquarters for their meeting and informal tour of Rutgers
Gardens at Holly House, Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. All
are welcome to attend! Please come, meet our members and
learn about our exciting outings, programs and committees.
Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month through
June. Notable community services include; yearly scholarships, Arbor
Day tree planting and member-made fresh flower arrangements that
accompany food trays distributed by Meals on Wheels. For more
