A special exhibit will open to the public this spring, and the Museum needs your help in gathering artifacts. Items especially pertaining to women and industry are sought; however other items relating to American involvement in the war effort are also welcome. If you are interested in loaning an item you may send a photograph and/or description to Elizabeth Cole, Curator of Collections, at the Museum at: ecole@theredmill.org. To be featured in the exhibit are objects from the Museum's collection including a group of Liberty Loan posters donated by the late Helen Tomson of Clinton, whose father was Chester Tomson, owner of the Red Mill at the time of the war. A national historic site, the Red Mill and the encompassing Mulligan Quarry are located along the South Branch of the Raritan River in Clinton, New Jersey. Our programs, special events and exhibits seek to inspire the public and enhance knowledge of our cultural heritage. Have quality items that you think are too good to just throw away? If so then consider donating them to the Tewksbury Historical Society's booth at the upcoming Oldwick Tag Sale and take a tax donation. What better way to get rid of stuff and donate at the same time? The Tewksbury Historical Society will be having a space at the 3rd annual Oldwick Tag Sale, which is being sponsored by the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oldwick, on Saturday, April 29 from 8 am to 3 pm. The rain date is Saturday, May 6. The Society will be located at its Oldwick Carriage House at 5 James Street in Oldwick. The Society is looking for clean, quality items, including antiques, furniture, china, dishes, records, toys and more. No books, clothes and no electronics over two years old can be accepted.
