Are you an artist? Inventor? Robotics fan? Crafter? Do you
enjoy demonstrating your projects and teaching others? Join
us at the Hunterdon County Library and share your artistic or
techy activity by demonstrating and letting others participate in
making. We supply tables, plenty of publicity and an adoring community
that will appreciate your involvement! Makers Day 2016 was a huge success -
over 650 people attended the one day event. It's a day of interactive, creative
inventing, including local artists demonstrating, Lego building, 3D printing,
robotic demonstrations and computer coding.

There is no charge to exhibit. Scout troops, school clubs, community
groups, artists and small businesses are welcome to participate. The best
projects are interactive making activities. All projects must be approved
by the library. This is a statewide event held at more than 100 libraries

Dreaming of a new master bathroom? Let's take a look at what many of
our customers are asking for in their new master bathrooms for 2017:
Ease of Use:
• Comfort height toilets (19" high instead of 17").
• No threshold (curbless) shower (handicap access and no tripping).
• Side-mount faucets (easier to reach).
• Floating vanities (attached to the wall with space underneath).
• Pet-washing zones in shower areas. (Great idea!)
Use of Technology:
• Showers with high tech sprays, steam and water jets.
• Media, music and lighting for the entire bathroom.
• In-floor heating and towel warmers for obvious reasons.
• Fire features. (Just picture beautiful gas fireplaces!)
Design Elements:
• Mediterranean inspired design (combine modern metallics with elegant,
old-world style tiles, including mosaics used as an accent in the shower
or backsplash).
• Smart storage. Incorporate an interesting antique piece instead of built-in
cabinetry. Open shelving is still a popular trend that can be quite practical in a
bathroom too.
• You can never go wrong with classic white subway tiles (get them in three-
dimensional and they really add a pop). In fact, there are many new beautiful
three-dimensional tiles on the market today.
