In an interesting twist, the study also found that the gender gap in life expectancy is shrinking. Now that we may all live longer than we expected, how can a couple devise a plan to fund their expenses for (hopefully) the next 30+ years? A couple close to or in retirement should construct a multi-year Optimal After-Tax Retirement Income stream that incorporates the timing and source of all income produced by Social Security Elections, Retirement and Taxable accounts. The analysis should account for Wealth Transfer Goals and Age Factored Enjoyment Thresholds ("I may get more in the future but I will enjoy it more today"). There are also many intertwined tax ramifications and choices like ROTH conversions that need to be analyzed and modeled for efficiency. Optimized Transitions will be hosting an educational luncheon on Tuesday, December 13 at 11:00 am at HealthQuest Fitness Club, 314 Rt. 31, Flemington, NJ 08822. We will review the process for "Optimizing After- Tax Retirement Income." Please join us afterwards for a catered lunch by the fine folks at Matt's Red Rooster Grill. Limited space available.
