In order to be eligible for Kindergarten, your child needs to be 5 on or before October 1, 2026. In order to sign up for the preschool, your child needs to be 3 on or before October 1, 2026. We are partnering with the YMCA and, pending funding, are hoping to open two additional classrooms next year at the YMCA facility. This will give us more than 140 spots for 3 and 4-year-old Clinton Township Residents. The pending 30 YMCA spots will be awarded based on your number in the lottery. The preschool program is free of cost to attend for the students who are eligible and selected by the lottery. Students who are enrolled in the program as 3-year-olds automatically have a spot as a four-year- old. In order to attend, students should be potty trained and able to be transported by a caregiver, or able to obtain a spot in before or after-care. The YMCA is able to provide limited before and after-care spots at a cost. If your child does not get a spot in the lottery, they will be placed on a wait list. The lottery is February 24 and the link to be included in the lottery will be shared with those who finished the initial interest form. Please see the SpruceRun Preschool Website for more information. We also ask Kindergarten parents and preschool parents who are selected in the Lottery to save April 15(K) and April 16 (PreK) to register your child for the 2026-2027 school year. Time slots for registration for those eligible will be shared sometime in March. We're thankful to the State of New Jersey for making preschool available to our residents. It is a great program and we look forward to serving more families in the years to come dependent on continued state funding. – Sincerely, Dr. Melissa Stager, Ed.D Superintendent, CTSD A MESSAGE FROM DR.
