The Delaware Valley Bead Society (DVBS) will present its Spring
Jewelry Sale on Saturday, May 3, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at the
Clinton Community Center at 63 Halstead Street in Clinton. Spring is
in the air and Mother's Day is fast approaching! Beautiful and unique pieces of
jewelry are just waiting to be gifted to your family and friends. You can always
gift yourself, too! Drop by and select from the special bracelets, necklaces, and
earrings created by seven members of the Delaware Valley Bead Society.
Participating New Jersey artists will be Emily Barbour, Lebanon;
Kathleen vonWebern and Marti Brown, Frenchtown; Linda McKay,
Califon; Debbie Vine, Flemington; Diana Wilson, Stockton; and Jessica
Giovacchini, Princeton. Members will be available to discuss their work.
The sale will feature artisan jewelry made with precious and semi-
precious stones and beads, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), pearls, crystal and
glass beads, niobium, shrink plastic, sterling, copper, leather, and fiber. Bead
embroidery, bead loom weaving, bead stringing, beadweaving, chainmaille,
kumihimo braiding with beads, Precious Metal Clay, anodizing niobium
metal, metalwork, and wirework are just a few of the techniques that will be
represented in the work of these artists. One of the Bead Society's missions is
to teach others about the joys of jewelry-making. Participating members will
be demonstrating their creative skills throughout the day. Visit their tables to
watch and learn! Refreshments will be available for purchase; admission and
parking are free. For more info, please call the Delaware Valley Bead
