1 5 a p r i l 2 0 2 2 Clinton Township Middle School The first annual Hawk Games were a huge success. The entire school came together to show their spirit and pride in CTMS. All of the teams competed with sportsmanship, and had so much fun with the games. The final games of the day came down to the last event with the 7th grade red team winning by only ten points. The Red team took home the Spirit of the Hawk Award for all three grades!! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so much fun, and an extra special thanks to the PTA who donated the snack vouchers to the winning teams. Go Hawks! Relay For Life: The 12th Annual CTMS Relay for LIfe was an inspiring and exciting event! We have surpassed all fundraising expectations, currently at $24,498, with more donations to be counted! Additionally, we have topped $410,000 in our total 12 years of fundraising, thanks to our very generous school community and dedicated students! This event is completely organized and run by a team of student leadership. Our commitment to help in the mission of the American Cancer Society is to help make cancer part of HISTORY! Thank you to everyone who was a part of the Relay for Life! The CTMS TREP$ marketplace will be held on Wednesday, April 27 from 6:00-8:00pm. We have over 100 student entrepreneurs who will be selling their wares, and everyone is invited to come shopping! We can practice autism acceptance in so many ways, but here at Round Valley Elementary School we would like to highlight two of our favorite ways. We celebrate our differences and our strengths! Students and staff are always happy to celebrate those special talents and strengths that make our school community vibrant and fun! We lift each other up! A big part of practicing autism acceptance is recognizing that everyone is growing and learning at different speeds and we are proud of all our accomplishments. The only thing greater than accomplishing our goals is accomplishing them in the company of our friends! During the month of April, you'll likely see many signs (both literally and figuratively) of autism acceptance like the gorgeous bulletin board featured on the previous page! This was an entirely student-led project that reflects friendship, acceptance, respect and joy shared amongst a group of RVS students. If you would like to learn more about autism awareness and acceptance, you can visit: www.AutismNJ.org or: www.Autism-Society.org. The ClintonTownship Education Foundation has funded hundreds of innovative educational programs since 1998. Please feel free to contact us for more ways you can help!
