The US EPA recommends that household water be tested once a year to ensure the well is free from harmful bacteria and nitrates. Not on a well? You can also test your water for lead contamination, especially if your house was built prior to 1986. ~Organized by the Clinton Township Environmental Commission~ C u R R e n T O R d i n a n C e s a n d L a n d u s e R e g u L a T i O n s ! No doubt your dog would love to run free but, unfortunately, there have been unhappy consequences such as pet cats killed, wildlife harassed, and other walkers frightened by charging dogs. Please be responsible dog owners and obey the law. a C a u T i O n T O R e s i d e n T s The Clinton Township Police Department would like to alert residents there has been a significant increase in burglaries in recent months. Townships in the surrounding area are reporting an increase also. Residents are asked to be certain to lock their doors, even when at home. Cars should be locked in the evening hours. Several scams have been reported to the Clerk's office as well. Solicitation door-to-door is prohibited without a permit issued by the Clerk's Office and requires a police background check. Any questionable activity, suspicious vehicle or person should be reported to the Police immediately and if safe to do so, obtain a license plate number. Some good rules to remember: 1. Always lock your home, even if leaving for a very short time. 2. Insist your children do the same, especially if they are home alone after school. 3. Keep a good relationship with your neighbors, and ask them to watch for any suspicious activity. 4. If you return home, and feel that something just "isn't quite right", leave quickly, and call 911 from a neighbor's home. 5. Don't make it obvious that you are away for an extended time, (take care of your mail, newspapers, etc.). 6. Don't leave an outgoing message on your answering machine, stating that you're out of town. Seeking two full time laborers.
