Matthew was bullied and made fun of in school, had no friends growing up and was in Special Ed until the age of 21. Says Matthew, "Kids my age broke my finger and put gum in my hair. It was really hard for me but what I would like for everyone to know is life gets better – just be around friends who like you for who you are." Having earned a BA in Business (with a 4.0 GPA) from Fairleigh Dickinson University, today Matthew is an award-winning landscape photographer, with blue ribbons from PPA and PPA NJ. Matthew is an alumni of the Riverview School in Massachusetts. Located on Cape Cod, the Riverview School is an independent, coeducational boarding/day school and is a leader in educating students with complex language and learning challenges. They are committed to helping each of their students gain academic, social and independent living skills to achieve their goals. Matthew, along with other alumni, has been asked to submit three of his photos for Riverviw's art show from May 3 through May 9 at: The Riverview School, 551 Route 6A in East Sandwich, MA 02537. Matthew says, "Riverview School is a great place! I had a lot of fun there and it was the best school for Asperger's, ADHD and LD. I did my best there. I recommend that you check out this school for your kids with special needs."
