With picturesque landscapes, a fully stocked
stream-fed pond and postcard worthy views, this 47
acre slice of Hunterdon heaven can't be kept secret
anymore! And thanks to the Hunterdon County
Educational Services Commission (HESC), it doesn't
have to be! In the summer of 2017, in conjunction
with BaseCamp 31, a not-for-profit with a mission
of community health, the Beautiful Beast 15k was born to bring together people
who enjoy the trails of Hunterdon County, and who are passionate about relying on
their health and fitness to make a difference! With a course that takes in the sounds
of the Columbia trail, the serene setting of Ken Lockwood Gorge, and provides
participants with views that would make any nature photographer green with envy,
our goal in producing this event is to challenge the status quo and to raise much
needed funds to support the fight against a formidable beast… addiction. There's
just one catch... to get to the finish line, it's a BEAST of a climb... up Hoffman's
Crossing... a hill fit for any King (or Queen)! So if you're ready to soak in some HC
beauty, challenge yourself, and make a difference, join us (walkers and runners
