How It All Works: Our camps are fun, week-long immersions into a theme, medium or skill. Most camps are half-day so that students can enjoy different activities throughout the day and from week to week. All materials are provided unless otherwise specified. You can register campers for one week or all nine. You can enroll in just morning (AM) or just afternoon (PM) camp. You can also stay all day by taking advantage of our supervised lunchtime and after- care. Lunch With the Bunch and/or After-Care can also be added à la carte – because sometimes you just need one more hour to get a few things done without the kids. The event raises funds to support The Kaplan Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children's arts and animal charities. The 2018 beneficiaries of the annual fundraiser are: • Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary – founded in memory of a Sandy Hook 1st grader, the organization is creating a safe haven and place of healing for animals in need (https://cvhfoundation.org/) • GreaterGood – a national group devoted to improving the health and well-being of people, pets and the planet (https://greatergood.org/) • Animal Lifeline – a network which provides human solutions for animal rescues and communities (https://animallifelinepa.org/) • ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) – a renowned performing arts program for children which produces award-winning community theater (www.showkids.org/about) Contributions to each of these charities would greatly impact their collective efforts to help animals in need and help fund a beloved performing arts education program for children. The rain or shine event beings with a buffet lunch at 11:00 am with a 12:30 pm shotgun start. The golf outing will follow a "best ball" format, and include prizes for "hole in one," "closest to pin," and "longest drive," as well. An awards dinner and silent auction will follow play, with many gifts and prizes along the way! The cost for an individual golfer is $295, a foursome with promotional tee sign is $1,350 and there are numerous sponsorship opportunities.
