We are so proud to have them represent our amazing staff at Spruce Run School! Mrs. Rainey Dul is our Teacher of the Year at Spruce Run School. She is one of our preschool teachers. She is calm, steadfast and patient, and welcomes all students into her classroom with open arms. It is never easy to leave your young child in someone else's care, but students and parents feel safe and secure with Mrs. Dul. You can often follow the delightful smells and sounds to her preschool classroom where students engage in a variety of tasty, educational and fun projects! She is loved by students, staff and parents, and we are so very fortunate to have Mrs. Dul as part of our faculty at Spruce Run School. She is a wonderful representative of all of the outstanding teachers we have here. Ms. Kaitlyn Vona is our Educational Services Professional at Spruce Run School. She is a speech and language specialist at Spruce Run School, and she also travels to other schools in our district. S h e i s a d e d i c a t e d a n d hardworking team player. She always has the student as her central focus and i s c o l l a b o r a t i v e w i t h colleagues and parents. M s . V o n a h a s m a n y strengths, including her work with augmentative communication devices to support students, and it is incredible to see children blossom under her skilled care. Ms. Vona possesses a wisdom beyond her years, and is always willing to not only share her own knowledge with others, but to work with teams of colleagues, listen to others and build upon their ideas. Ms. Vona is a fantastic part of our school, and we are so pleased to have her represent all of the excellent educational services professionals at Spruce Run School. Kindergarten Round-Up REMINDER! Kindergarten Round-Up is now occurring at Spruce Run School. A child must be 5 years of age on or before October 1, 2018 to be eligible for kindergarten during the 2018-2019 school year. Paick McGah Scho PMG Names Educators of the Year ! Dawn Napoli, PMG Technology Teacher, is our Governor's Educator of the Year Teacher of the Year! Ms. Napoli began teaching at PMG in 2013. She has worked as p hysical education and technology teacher. Additionally, she is completing graduate work in e ducational a dministration. Miss Napoli is adored by her students. Her nominations r e f l e c t h e r c o m m i t m e n t t o i n n o v a t i v e t e a c h i n g , her strong dedication to personalizing education and her desire to form positive relationships with students. "She strives to find what children's interests are, and she uses th is to enhance her teaching. She makes every child feel special." Miss. Napoli believes, "W e all must remember to teach students to create an environment where risks are taken without fear of criticism, always making it a point to show students with words and actions that they are important." We love having Miss Napoli teach at PMG! Sarah Barber, t eaching a ssistant, is our Governor's Educator of the Year Educational Services Professional of the Year! Mrs. Barber is an upbeat, well-respected professional educator. In addition to A L e t t e r f r o m Pamela C. Fiander, Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools We proudly recognize this year's Clinton Township School District recipients of the Governor's Educator of the Year Program. Over 45 nominations were submitted by students, parents, and colleagues, and each school-based committee then determined the award recipients based on these requirements: · Being an exceptionally skilled and dedicated classroom teacher where teaching is the primary responsibility · Having achieved a 2016-17 summative rating of at least Effective · Being a dedicated and skilled leader who anticipates actively continuing in his/ her teaching career for at least five more years · Being an expert in the field who inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn · Actively collaborating with colleagues, students and families to create a strong culture of respect and success · Demonstrating leadership and innovation in educational activities at the school, district, and/or state and national level that take place both within or outside the school setting ; · Has the respect and admiration of students, parents and colleagues · Demonstrates poise, eloquence and the ability to maintain a demanding schedule.
