We serve our community through initiatives such as scholarships, volunteerism and charitable donations. We seek to establish and nurture camaraderie between our members. We are men of similar ideals, values and objectives. We believe that integrity and excellence are at the core of everything we do. God, family and country are top priorities for all of us, both as individuals and as an organization. We believe that supporting our community is fundamental, and we believe that this support should come from individuals and private entities, first and foremost. We believe that respecting and embracing ones heritage is not only appropriate but essential to ones happiness. Our organization is non-denominational and apolitical. As a charity we are asked where the money raised goes. The members of the FSSP pay yearly dues, monthly meeting costs and work hard to ensure that the monies raised go straight to families in need." To purchase tickets for either the dinner dance and/or parade party please visit: www.FSSPHunterdon.com. We hope to see you there! 7 Lower Center St. Clinton | 908.735.8415 The Hunterdon Art Museum presents changing exhibitions of contemporary art, craft and design in a 19th century stone mill listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Since the article was published I have received many emails and calls from other residents affected by the train horns. The trains begin to blow the horn a half mile before the crossing, subsequently affecting neighborhoods far and wide no-where near the crossing. The disturbance these horns are causing our town is more widespread than originally thought. I have had neighbors tell me about suffering from migraine headaches, the lack of sleep and energy, and one woman even shared with me that she has not opened her windows at night for over ten years. This is no way for residents to live. We live in a beautiful community that we should be able to enjoy, rather than suffering the effects of an unnecessary disturbance. This crossing is already equipped with automatic gates and lights, why do they need to sound a horn? The answer is they do not, unless it is an emergency. The routine use of a horn is antiquated. Safety is not affected by the absence of a horn when physical barriers are in place. I have been in contact with Jesse Landon, the Clinton Township Administrator, have given him the research I found and he is willing to call the NJDOT on our behalf. If you too are affected by train horn, please let your voice be heard by signing our petition at www.change.org/p/ clinton-township-city-council-the-quest-for-a-quiet-zone. This petition will be given to Mayor Higgins in support of our cause. – Thank you, Lori Latsko" Don't forget our professional rug cleaning! Pick up and drop off service by appointment only.
