You can expect a "practically perfect" production when choreographer Maria Mantak returns to work with a cast that is nothing short of "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" Ms. Mantak was recently inducted into Perry Award Hall of Fame by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT). Additional show-stopping numbers are choreographed by SKIT veteran Kristy Nasto. SKIT presents six performances of Mary Poppins on Saturday, January 20 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, Sunday, January 21 at 2:00 pm; Saturday, January 27 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sunday, January 28 at 2:00 pm. All performances will take place at Voorhees High School, 256 County Road 513, Glen Gardner, NJ 08826. Tickets are $13 -20 and can be purchased directly at: www.ShowKids.org or by calling the SKIT ticket line at: 908.638.5959. Natalie Mehl, 17, of Lebanon Twp. is truly magical as Mary Poppins! The Voorhees senior earned standing ovations "with snaps" as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde last summer in her Plays in the Park debut. SKIT credits include Hairspray (Amber), Disney's My Son Pinocchio (Blue Fairy), Me and My Girl (Lady Jacqueline), Seussical the Musical (Amazing Mayzie), Footloose (Rusty) and Shrek the Musical (Teen Fiona). Regional theater credits include The Little Mermaid (Flotsam) and A Christmas Carol (Alice the Cook, Christmas Past). Natalie also has numerous television, commercial and voice over credits and has appeared in New York Fashion Week walking for various designers. We hope to see you at this magical performance! n e x t s t e P A d v I s I n G , L L C What has your son/daughter done with their PSAT scores they received back in December? If the answer is 'not much', then it is time to consider using the professional services at Next Step Advising to discuss strategy for taking the SAT and moving forward with the entire college search and application process. The college search and application process is fun and empowering if done correctly. No two students are the same and during each session Nicole works with each student's specific needs (career exploration, deciding which test works 'best', college visit tips, interview advice, athletic recruiting, essay brainstorming, best fit schools based on personality and academic interests, to name just a few!). Check out the comprehensive package for Juniors online at www.NextStepAdvising.com. Now is the best time to get a professional advisor involved because money spent now could mean thousands of dollars saved in the future. Mention this January article for a free 30 minute meeting to learn about the services offered. "And now let us believe in a long year that is given to us, new, untouched, full of things that have never been, full of work that has never been done, full of tasks, claims, and demands; and let us see that we learn to take it without letting fall too much of what it has to bestow upon those who demand of it necessary, serious, and great things." ~ Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke, 1892-1910
