I hope I live long enough...
• to see a multiplex movie
theatre built in Hunterdon
County.
• to see Charlotte Drive RE-PAVED!!!!
• to have Harold reach 100,000 miles on the odometer.
• to have the warranty on my mattress expire.
• to sleep eight uninterrupted hours some night – without a Unisom.
• to continue my two mile morning walks.
• to continue having the ability to take tub baths (climbing in and
OUT of the tub).
• to partake of a totally calorie-free chocolate fudge sundae.
• to have my Social Security and Pension payments at least break
even with cost of living increases.
• to receive a REDUCED property tax bill from Clinton Township.
• to see my saving account interest rates top 8%.
• to never be too lazy to cook a roast every Sunday just for me to enjoy.
• to have six months go by without something in my house or body
needing serious repair.
• to regain respect for the United Stated government leaders.
• to be offered a slate of politicians to vote for where at least half of them
are worth their salt.
• to stop thinking of "politician" as a dirty word.
• to get into a size 10 skirt.
• to regard every day with thankfulness for just waking up.
• to play the piano again.
• to meet another man like Joe (or Gil, or Fred) to share good times with.
• to use up all of my Forever stamps.
• to stay mentally alert enough to continue writing this

And finally, I hope I live long enough to see the end of wars, opioids,
gluten, brown spots and North Korea.
