A L e t t e r F r o m r e v . A n d r e w P A t o n Leaving Africa 21 years ago to come work here, an American missionary said, "You'll hate New Jersey, it's ugly." Wow, was he wrong or what? Hunterdon County was one of the best places in the USA to jog, hike, ride a motor bike, pastor a church, drive a limousine, chaplain at a hospital, write a newspaper column, serve on school and county committees, be a Rotarian, do inter-church services, befriend politicians, be a counselor, lead historical tours of the American Revolution and write books - all the usual stuff pastors do. I have regularly pinched myself to be sure I'm not dreaming about the privilege of living in Hunterdon. Now comes the time, at the end of January, to accept a new assignment - that of short-term stays restoring ailing churches in Canada and the USA. This is an opportunity for which I am very grateful to devote the last decade of my service. A huge vote of thanks to my many friends in Hunterdon County. Life is all about webs of relationships and I hope this excellent Newsletter by Julie and her staff will help all of you to connect with the many advantages of living where you do. I wish all of you a merry Christmas and bid you a fond farewell. Rev. Andrew (and Carol) Paton Clinton Church of the Nazarene.
