It's hard to keep up with Boy Scout Troop 200! At their recent Court
of Honor, thirty-three scouts were recognized for earning 89 Merit Badges. The
top three Merit Badges earned were First Aid, Citizenship in the Community
and American Heritage. In addition, many boys moved up in rank and three
scouts passed a rigorous board of review to become Eagle Scouts. A few recent
highlights include:
• A visit from Joey Lawrence, Troop 200 Eagle Scout and National
Park Service Law Enforcement Ranger. Joey shared stories about his
summer fighting crime in Mesa Verde National Park and fighting forest fires
in Oregon.
• Attending a football game at West Point
• Working toward the Physical Fitness merit badge at the
CrossFit Powerhour gym
The troop is looking forward to their annual night of Christmas
caroling at a local veteran's hospital and around Clinton Township.
The scouts would like to thank everyone in the Clinton Township
community for their continued support – from popcorn sales to the
troop's annual Christmas wreath sale – community support helps
scouts pursue new activities and adventures (Contact: marosy@
comcast.net to buy a wreath!) (After last summer's sailing trip to
the Bahamas, they're planning on hiking at Philmont in New Mexico
this summer!)
Troop 200 is an active troop that is boy-led. They meet at Immaculate
Conception Church (316 Old Allerton Rd, Annandale, NJ 08801) on
Monday evenings. If you're interested in learning more about the
