As part of their September Education Series, the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center in Clinton will offer the following programs: • Anxiety in Children and Adolescents: How much is too much? Anxiety is a physical and mental state that is natural for everyone to experience at different points. Sometimes, however, worry can take on a life of its own and sometimes we don't think of how anxiety can affect children. Gail Burack, PhD, Child Development Center, will lead this informational program. Thursday, September 14, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center, 1738 Rte. 31 North, Clinton • Senior Series: Keeping the Mind Fit. Currently, there are about 5 million Americans with some form of dementia. There are ways to keep your mind sharp and help avoid memory loss. Linda Bryant, RN, Director Center for Healthy Aging will lead this program. The Hunterdon County Division of Parks & Recreation and the Hunterdon Flutterwheels Square Dance Club invite you to attend an Open House/ Fun Day on Sunday, September 10 to find out what square dancing is all about! The event will be held from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm in the picturesque Lodge at Echo Hill Park, 43 Lilac Drive in Stanton Station (use Flemington, 08822 in GPS). Refreshments will be available and the event will give participants an introduction to "Modern Square Dancing". No experience is necessary. The event is suitable for teens and active adults. $3 admission. If you can walk to music, you can square dance. Dress for comfort and wear low, comfortable shoes. AND JOIN US! For those who are interested in continuing with the activity, organized classes will start Tuesday September 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Echo Hill Park.
