Fiander, Ed.D., Interim Superintendent of Schools Dear Clinton Township Community Members: The dawning of a new academic year brings all the splendor of autumnal beginnings, and it is such an honor to become a part of this vibrant learning community. In my short time here, I am finding that Clinton Township is a place where students do, indeed, come first! Teachers are arriving to p r e p a r e t h e i r c l a s s r o o m s w i t h j o y f u l a n t i c i p a t i o n o f all the possibilities that a new academic year bestows. The principals, vice principals and school secretaries are f i n a l i z i n g s c h e d u l e s , preparing class lists and communicating with families. They are r e c e i v i n g t h o s e c o v e t e d n e w s c h o o l s u p p l i e s d a i l y . T h e c u s t o d i a l and maintenance staffs are diligently addressing building needs with great care, commitment and attention to detail. The district office staff is warmly welcoming newly hired personnel, and helping orient them to all of the policies, practices, procedures and required paperwork. These last few weeks before the official opening of school are so exciting. As I meet more and more of the people who work here, I am struck by their warmth, commitment and pride in being a part of the Clinton Township School District. What a recipe for success in providing an outstanding education for all of the beautiful children who will soon walk through the school doors. How lucky we are to be a part of making a difference in their lives. How grateful we are to everyone in the community for supporting this important work. May the new school year bring you many opportunities to learn and connect, and may we be ever mindful that it is here, "Where Children Come First." Warm regards, Pamela C. Fiander, Ed.D.
