This summer we are offering two great volleyball programs: • Six Week Summer Clinic: July 11 - August 17 • Tues. & Thurs Evenings, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm (Register Before 5/31: $200, After 5/31: $225) Middle School Girls from NHHS Sending Districts, Grades 6-8 (as of Fall, 2017) • One Week Summer Camp: July 24 - 27, 8:00 am - 12:00 noon (Registration Fee: $130) For girls in grades 4-9 (as of Fall 2017). Last year over 80 attendees had a great time while strengthening their volleyball skills! The NHHS team, led by Coach Kirk Hissner, has been one of the top- ranked volleyball programs in the State for many years! We're excited that Coach Hissner, along with the rest of the volleyball coaching staff from NHHS, is leading both of our summer programs (held at the NHHS Gym)! Know that there are two different kinds of valves: It is highly recommended that all your valves be ball, lever handle style valves. They are more dependable and almost never fail. Keep this in mind as you locate your own water valves in your home. Turn Off Directions For Well Water: • Locate your well tank. • Find the copper or plastic vertical water line leaving the tank (there will be a shut off valve on this pipe). It will look like a wagon wheel or a lever handle valve. • For globe or gate valve with a wheel style handle, turn it clockwise until it can't move anymore. With the wheel style handle, they can fail easily. If at all possible, change it to a lever handle (which almost never fails). If you can not turn the wheel handle at all, then definitely get it changed. • For a lever style handle, turn it 90 degrees until the handle is perpendicular to the pipe. (Typically, it will only turn in one direction). Turn Off Directions For City Water • Locate water meter (typically in your basement or lowest level of your house and typically on the front wall). • There will be a valve before and after it. • First, turn the valve that is downstream (house side) of the meter (the meter will have a directional arrow on it). If this valve works, then no need to check the upstream side (street or curb shut off valve). However, it is important to know where the "curb" shut off valve is located outside. Ask your water company if you can't find it. • Again, if the inside shut off valve is a wagon wheel valve, consider changing it to a ball valve with a lever style handle.
