DeMott Pond will be stocked with fish for this FREE family event, and bait, bobbers and hooks will be supplied – just bring your own pole. The event is open to youth ages 4 – 16 years old and each participant will receive a raffle ticket for door prize drawings during the event. Registration will be conducted from 8:00 am - 9:00 am; fishing is from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon. DeMott Pond is located on Route 173 in Clinton, across the street and one block west of the Clinton Holiday Inn. Sponsorship opportunities are available to offset the costs of stocking the pond and purchasing prizes for the youth participants. The Clinton Boy Scout Troop 121 Marching Band is an award-winning band that participates in parades throughout New Jersey. The band is now accepting audition requests for new members to join in time for their spring and summer parade season. Boys aged 11 to 18 are welcome to join. The band is looking to fill all instrument positions – trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba, baritone, clarinet, sax, flute, oboe and percussion. Band activities are kept to one rehearsal a month (first Wednesday) and three to four parades a year. Please note that if you're already in a Boy Scout troop within the Hunterdon Arrowhead district, you can still play with the band! Celebrating over 75 years in Scouting, Troop 121 is a high-adventure Boy Scout troop committed to the ideals and values of scouting. The oldest Boy Scout Troop in the Clinton area, it is sponsored by and meets at the Clinton Presbyterian Church on Monday nights. We'll look at life in the reservoir as well! a P r i l e v e n t S a t t H e r e d m i l l m u S e u m v i l l a g e The Red Mill Museum Village is pleased to announce that we're acknowledging this year's centennial anniversary of the United States' entry into World War I through our new exhibit and programming throughout the year! • Over Here: The New Jersey Home Front, A WWI Centennial Exhibition. Our latest exhibit, Over Here: The New Jersey Home Front, explores the ways in which the lives of the people of New Jersey were affected by the Great War. Included in the exhibit is a memorial wall honoring the Hunterdon County men who died serving in WWI. The exhibit opens to the public on Thursday April 6. • Military Heritage Day: Join us on Saturday April 8 from 12:00 -4:00 pm for a day honoring the United States' military history! Reenactors, artifact displays of private collectors, a victory quilt, military vehicles and more will be on site for visitors to enjoy. A memorial service will be included in the day's program. Visitors are invited to participate in our poppy memorial installation. We'll have Activities for children! Artifacts and activities will range from the Civil War through WWII. Regular admission.
