Once again, this year the Clinton Holiday Inn will be filled on Saturday March 25 for the second annual "Common Colors Women's Forum" fundraiser! The event is hosted by Color It Forward, a not-for-profit organization which works with local charitable and social service organizations to unite clients in need with local salons and cosmetologists to help women at risk find a beautiful new lease on life. The fundraiser, held annually during Women's History Month, will featured a cocktail hour followed by an award presented to an honored and nominated client who has turned her life in a positive direction. Next, keynote speaker Susan Fee will address the topic of "Silencing your Inner Critic". Susan, published author, counselor and national speaker, joins the audience this year to discuss fear, doubt and shame. Her words will inspire and show women how they can change perspective, challenge lies and half-truths and redirect thoughts. "Everyone has a story. Never forget that," states Susan. "But we forget to update our stories. Yes, you may have fallen- but are you including in your story the part where you got up?" The not-for-profit organization works with women who are in "transitional situations", such as domestic abuse survivors, women recovering from substance abuse, or any situation that compromises their economic status. CIF helps clients explore their inner and outer beauty and build confidence and strength to meet their challenges and transitions head on. "This event is a fantastic Girls Night Out for a Cause. Our goal is to bring together strong and positive people for an evening of awareness and inspiration," said Michelle Gill, executive director. "Our salon services and workshops have had a big impact in the lives of women throughout NJ. This year's event is important because we need support in order to continue the good work we do." said Gill. Tickets are available at: www.Colors2017.EventBrite.com.
