1 7 M a r c h 2 0 1 7 Camp Gan Israel of Hunterdon County is proud to announce that it will be located at the YMCA in Deer Path Park this upcoming summer! A tradition of excellence since 2006, fantastic activities and the best-trained counselors are a few of the reasons that Camp Gan Israel is consistently ranked among the top camps in the country. Registration for Camp Gan Israel of Hunterdon County Summer 2017 is open. Chabad of Hunterdon County's Camp Gan Israel (CGI) offers an array of fun summer activities including crafts, swimming, trips, as well as professional programs and entertainment such as life-building skills, performing arts and sports with trained sports coaches. CGI is known for their highly trained and experienced staff with a high counselor to camper ratio. Campers at CGI are divided by age, from 3 - to 13-years-old, to maximize individualized attention and supervision. Under the guidance of dedicated counselors, the children of each group work together as a team and learn the value of friendship and camaraderie. "Summer is a critical time in a child's life. A successful summer camp experience is more than a break from studies to let loose. Every activity is a major learning experience," said Chana Greene, director of the CGI camp. "Our program is designed to let our camper's minds freely explore nature, indulge in craft projects, enjoy sports and water activities, all while building character and responsibility in a relaxed, fun atmosphere." With its new location, the camp will be able to enjoy all of the facility features including: the YMCA's indoor gym, multipurpose room, indoor pool, baseball diamond, soccer fields and playground. We will have several outdoor tents set up exclusively for each group and a larger tent for all group activities. We also have Arts n' Craft tents and other specialty areas. "Sending our kids to Camp Gan Israel was the best decision we made for them," said Brad and Leigh Currie of Flemington. "They were actively engaged each week with field trips, swimming, tennis, Zumba, self-defense classes, arts and crafts, and cooking. They always came home saying their day was, "Awesome!" Camp counselors were wonderful and made sure each child was well taken care of during the camp day." Summer 2017 will feature a fun filled schedule with exciting trips such as; Bounce U, Turtle Back Zoo, Ice Skating, Rope Coursing, Dutch Springs, Amusement Parks and more! Some daily activities include: sports activities with professional coaches, culinary arts, pottery painting, comedy skits, talent shows, and carnival days. These programs challenge children to develop their innate talents. Exciting activities, stories, thematic games, contests and Friday Shabbat parties are all part of the unique Camp Gan Israel experience. CGI innovative arts and crafts counselors teach the children to be creative and imaginative. Camp Gan Israel runs from June 26 - July 21, for children ages 3-13, at YMCA Deer Path Park. Price for CGI is $275/week. Early Bird Special until March 8: $255/week! For more information please email: camp@jewishhunterdon.com or call Chana at: 908.238.9020.
