The Y's participation in GNJKids results in a continuous assessment of all aspects of early learning center operations and practice and guides Y staff members in continual quality assessment to bring families and children the best possible experience in learning and development. "We are proud of our program and welcome the opportunity to share our high standards and commitment of excellence with parents. Research shows that children who are in quality child care and early learning programs when they are young are better prepared for kindergarten with better reading skills, more math skills and larger vocabularies. Our participation in Grow NJ Kids will help us better prepare children for future success," said Carla Myer, Y Early Childhood Education Director. Through GNJKids, the YMCA was recently awarded the newest version of the award-winning Teaching Strategies, Creative Curriculum for all classrooms and training for staff. Creative Curriculum is a research-based, complete curriculum system that helps to create a high-quality learning environment and enables every child to become a creative, confident thinker. Call today to schedule a time to visit the Child Learning Center and learn more about how Creative Curriculum will benefit your child's development and learning, 908.236.0055, ext. 4605, or visit www.HCYMCA.org.
