We all know that it's been an unusually warm winter so far, but that doesn't
mean that you shouldn't try to save energy in your home. Here at MSI, we
have come up with some easy tips to help you increase your energy savings.
• Add weather-stripping or use caulk to seal air leaks around
doors and windows.
• Open the curtains to let the sun in your south-facing windows to allow
sunlight to naturally heat your home. Close them at night to reduce drafting.
• Unless you have a fire going, keep your fireplace damper closed. If you never
use your fireplace, plug and seal the flue.
• Make sure you are replacing your furnace filter once a month or as needed.
• Keep your garage door closed, especially if you have water supply lines
in the garage.
• Prevent frozen pipes by making sure all water supply lines in
unheated areas are insulated properly.

Winnewald Day camp is celebrating its 65th camp season June 27- Aug 19. The
camp is located on about 30 acres in Clinton Township between Routes 31 and
629. The varied program provides age-appropriate activities for children 5 – 13
years of age. Activities include Red Cross swim lessons in heated pools, hiking,
fishing, tennis, arts & crafts, archery, nature, music, low ropes, and sports.
The camp day runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine) with extended
hours from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. The staff includes teachers, college and high
school students, many of whom have been former campers. Please visit one
