Dress in layers and hike the Cushetunk trail as we learn the do's and don'ts of winter hiking. If snow covered, bring snow shoes. $3 fee for ages 12 and above, $1 for ages 6 to 11. Pre-Registration recommended. February 21, 9:00 am to 11:00 am: Bird Walk Join NJ Audubon Society members, on 3 /4 mile flat trail loop where you may see Osprey or Golden Crowned Kinglets! Then take a short drive to the swimming pond where abundant waterfowl enjoy the early spring serenity. If you have a field guide and binoculars, we suggest you bring them. No fee to participate. Saturday, February 27, 10:00 am to 12:00 noon: Bluebirds It's a bit too early for bluebirds to have returned but we'll hike to Toboggan Hill (short hike) and learn about their habitat. Participants will receive simple instructions on how to build a bluebird house (hardware, but not wood, included), where to place it and how to monitor it. With luck, you might have nesting bluebirds in April! $3 fee for ages 12 and above, $1 for ages 6 to 11. Pre-registration recommended.
