E a r ly L e a r n i n g E n s u r e s Future Academic Success As recently reported in the Hechinger Report, the earlier children learn the better their school performance will be down the road. As a kindergarten teacher with over 30 years of public and private school experience, Judith Serra knows this to be true which is why she started her own preschool called Whitehouse Preparatory School. The main thrust of the program is to offer preschool and kindergarten age children an enriched program that enhances their overall performance as they start first grade. The curriculum offered is an academic program targeting literacy, math, science and social studies skills. Included in the base tuition is instruction in violin, Chinese, art, music, acting and physical education. As quoted by a parent in Hunterdon Mom's Online,"Whitehouse Prep is an excellent preschool and your child will get an amazing education there." Whitehouse Prep is accepting applications for the 2014-2015 School Year and its Little Owl's Hollow Summer Camp. Cupcake "All days Just in time for Decorating! A r e a S c o u t C o mm e n c e s E a g l e P r o j e c t Over the years area Boy Scouts have contributed to our community in many ways including completing service projects that lead to the prestigious Eagle award. This spring James Trontell, a life long resident of ClintonTownship and a Life Scout with Annandale Troop 200, will be completing an Eagle service project in Hoffman Park. The park is one of the recreational lands owned and operated by the Hunterdon County Department of Parks and Recreation in our area and open to the public year round. The project is to create an access path wide enough to accommodate a wheel chair that will enable all park visitors access to nature trails from the main parking lot. To do this, James must first secure the necessary donations to obtain materials and equipment, then secure the needed supplies and oversee the completion of the project. If you are interested in finding out more about this Eagle project and can assist with funding, materials, and/or equipment, please email: eagleproject@embarqmail.com or call 908.730.7250. 4 www.ClintonTwpNewsletter.com F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 4
