CLINTON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL NEWS A Letter from the www.township.clinton.nj.us/ C l i n t o n T o w n s h i p P o l i c e D e pa r t m e n t Dear All: We are now entering the winter months and can expect unsafe road conditions, such as snow and ice during our morning and evening commutes. I encourage all Clinton Township residents who must commute on snow covered roads to drive with extreme caution. I suggest that on snow covered and slush covered roads that everyone reduces their speed significantly. Specifically, a safe speed on snow and slush covered roads is about 20 – 25mph, sometimes even slower depending on conditions. It may take us longer to reach our destinations, but we will reach our destinations safely and in one piece. Be safe! We have been experiencing burglaries of vehicles parked in resident's driveways throughout Clinton Township. Please lock your cars and remove all valuables from inside your car when parking in your driveway. This includes wallets, global positioning units, radar detectors, laptop computers, cameras etc. Let's not help the thieves by making it easy for them to steal valuables from unlocked cars in our driveways. As usual, please report suspicious vehicles and or persons seen in your neighborhood. This should be done immediately by calling 911. Sincerely, Lt. Christmas trees may be dropped off by residents in the following locations and hours: • THE TOWNSHIP DPW GARAGE will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11 and 18 • THE HUNTERDON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, located at Deer Path Park, West Woodschurch Rd. Up to three trees can be dropped off on three consecutive Sundays, Jan. 5, 12 and 19, between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:30 pm.
