Township of Clinton Dog License Reminders
Why it is important to license your dog(s):
*Licensing takes place annually during the month
of January. Pursuant to New Jersey State Law and
Clinton Township local ordinance, pet licensing is
mandatory.
Compliance is important to our community for the
following:
1. Public Health and Safety - Licensing ensures
the protection of pets, their owners, and members
of the community against rabies and other
communicable diseases; and enables lost pets to
be quickly reunited with their owners.
2. Responsible Owners - demonstrates owners'
commitment to the health and well-being of their
pet; also helps to manage our local dog population
to ensure that all pets are properly cared for.
3. Funding Animal Services - the funds collected
from dog licensing fees go directly to support NJ
programs for animal control, shelter, and other
services benefitting animals in need.
Failure to license may result in a summons.
Shake your mail-
box by the post
and, if it "gives,"
it's likely time
that your mailbox
could come loose
this winter.
Mailboxes that aren't sturdy
are more likely to break
or be damaged by heavy
snow, wind, and the force
from snow plows.
Take time to tighten
screws and secure
your mailbox now to
prevent future frus-
tration during frigid
U.P. temperatures.
