The Flemington Area Food Pantry's major fundraiser, the "Empty Bowl" lunch will be held this Fall on Friday, October 10. This will once again be a drive-up event held at the Pantry with tickets available in September. Featured will be several delicious soups from local restaurants and kitchens along with a large pottery sale. Plans are underway and more information will be available soon. Save the date! Show your support on October 10 at the Pantry for the approximately 1,600 income-qualified Hunterdon County families who are food-insecure, while enjoying a good lunch. Audiences in over 500 cities, spanning six continents, unite for one week for the 27th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival. Film lovers will unite worldwide to view and vote on the work of the next generation of filmmakers from around the world, September 25 to October 5. Each showing runs two hours, 20 minutes, then you mark your votes at the end. The 2025 Oscar Winner for Best Short Film, I'm Not a Robot, was in last year's contest!(Some of the films contain graphic violence and adult content.
