Move Up Day provides students with an opportunity to look ahead to the next grade level. The PTA-sponsored assemblies will further enrich our students' experiences with special programs that tie into learning. As we approach the end of another successful school year, we appreciate our community and staff who make Patrick McGaheran School such a special place for learning and growth for our students! Round Valley School Spring at Round Valley: A Season of Learning and Growth! As the flowers bloomed and temperatures rose, Round Valley School students embraced a vibrant spring filled with educational experiences, artistic performances, and memorable field trips. The Spring Choral Concert showcased the talents of our third, fourth, and fifth graders as they filled the CTMS auditorium with beautiful melodies and harmonies. Students delighted parents and staff with their polished performances, demonstrating months of dedicated practice and musical development. Our instrumental musicians also shined brightly during the orchestra and band performance featuring our fourth and fifth grade students, highlighting how far these young musicians have progressed in their instrumental studies. Third graders stepped back in time during their educational field trip to Waterloo Village, where they experienced life in a 19th-century town. Students explored historic buildings, learned about daily life during this period, and connected classroom learning to tangible historical artifacts. For our fifth graders, the annual Move Up Day provided an exciting glimpse into their future middle school experience. This important transition activity helped ease anxieties and build excitement as students toured the middle school, met future teachers, and learned about the expanded opportunities awaiting them next year. Students demonstrated their academic progress during the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) testing period. Throughout the year, teachers prepared students not only with essential content knowledge but also with test-taking strategies and confidence- building exercises to help them showcase their best work. Looking ahead to June, our fifth graders will participate in the highly anticipated trip to Camp Bernie, where outdoor education, team-building activities, and nature exploration will create lasting memories before they graduate from Round Valley. The Golden Eagle Singers Showcase will present their performances, highlighting their acting talents. The entire school community also looks forward to Field Day, when students will participate in various outdoor activities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and school spirit. Throughout this Spring season, Round Valley students have demonstrated growth academically, socially, and creatively. The numerous performances, field trips, and special events have enriched their educational experience while creating cherished memories. We thank our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and community members who make these valuable opportunities possible for our students.
