What a standout. The colors are so inspiring, so "feel good". The lettering – Far East? India? Hebrew? Significance of the blossoms? Maybe a mix of all? Absolutely wonderful. Thank you as always. Evelyn Breheney Glynn, Women's Forum USA Hi Evelyn, Lol "Pretty in Pink" Springtime Girl!" I've actually been called variations of "Pinky" all of my life. It's my favorite color, and I tend to wear it often! And, thank you! The blossoms are supposed to be cherry blossoms, because we are blessed with them in April, and since cherry blossom trees originally come from Japan, I thought an Asian influence would be refreshing. However, this design looks more Chinese, I think. As for the [Clinton Township Newsletter title] lettering, I try to mix it up, design-wise, a couple of times a year just to keep our reader's interest (and my own), so I went for an Asian style font (more of a Japanese style, I think) and decided to give it a gradient so as to appear like a gold metallic. That's an effect that I originally learned a million years ago in my marker-sketch classes at Parsons. The old-school methods actually do help with the latest digital methods! Thanks, Julie Hi Julie, I very much enjoy reading your monthly Clinton Township Newsletter and would like to contribute this fun photo I took today, if you consider it worthy. I was walking today in Lebanon and on Cherry Street just in front of D&L Pump on the road heading up to Round Valley reservoir, I saw this tree that looks like Bert from Sesame Street from a side view. I showed it to my grandkids and they chuckled! Said he needed a haircut. LOL. I'm not on facebook and can't share but maybe you could in your Newsletter of fun pics in the area? ~ Rose Benson Hi R ose, Thank y ou so mu ch for sending us this fun photo — it absolutely looks like Bert! I wish I could attach some eyes, nose and a mouth to the bush. Take care, Julie p.s. I would show a photo of Bert here, but Sesame Workshop owns the copyright, so we don't want to infringe on that. :) letters to the editor
