While my team (myself, my printers) strives to maintain a consistent schedule, unforeseen circumstances beyond our control impacted our ability to distribute the December 2024 CTNL on time. These challenges arose at multiple levels, we believe we have plans in place to address these issues to ensure this remains an isolated incident. I deeply value your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize clear and timely communication with our community. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to keeping you informed with the latest updates in the months ahead. I'm always trying to get the best publication to you that I possibly can, as early as I possibly can, so that you can plan for all of the fun events that are listed within these pages. I'm hoping the best for all of us in 2025. On a different note, are you seeing these aircraft above your properties? We Flynns are, with several spotted almost nightly, and it's the strangest thing. I grew up about ten minutes from a naval air station with military jets flying over our house several times a day, every day, so I know what they look and sound like, and they don't freak me out. It's also not unusual to have crop dusters fly over our house here, and the medivac has landed on our property at least twice. I say "at least", because they don't announce their arrival nor departure, so it's always a tragic, but also fascinating, surprise. These aircraft – I think of them as drones – don't look or sound like helicopters at all. Like you, I've seen planes flying all my life and these things do not look (or sound) like planes to me. These blink but also go dark sometimes, they hover, zip in different directions, and at least once, we saw one drop several hundred feet perpendicularly, and then fly straight on, without banking. I don't know what all this is about, but I would love to. I've reported our sightings to the FBI twice, but was recently given this toll-free number for the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) Counter-Threat Watch Unit, to report suspicious activity in our area, so I'm passing it on to you: 866 4 SAFE NJ. Speaking of preparedness, please read the CTPD column on the preceding page and consider signing up for the CTCodeRed emergency alert high-speed notification system. Let's hope that you'll only be hearing about road closures and leaf pickup, etc. Hope for the best, and prepare for the worst, I always say. To that end, February is the month of Love and Football so, please enjoy all of your festivities, have fun, stay safe, and make sure to always have a designated driver. Happy Valentines Day! –Julie Flynn
