Sign up for www.schoolhouse.world or Kahn Academy assistance. • Make a list of potential colleges you would like to visit. Check out their admission website to view Open Houses and mark your calendar! • How about careers? If you don't know what you want to study, you probably know what you don't want to study! • Speak to the admissions representative assigned to New Jersey and introduce yourself via email. Ask if they will be visiting your HS in the spring. • Continue extracurricular/volunteer activities and seek leadership roles. • Do you need to plan on an extra math course this summer in order to be competitive in your potential major, or to be competitive in your application? • Do you want to attend a pre-college summer camp or obtain research experience? Many applications are due prior to March 1. • Continue building relationships with your teachers; your eleventh grade teachers will most likely be writing your letters of recommendation! And, don't forget to say "Hi" to your school counselor too! Here at Next Step Advising, LLC, we meet with your son/daughter every month (more when needed) and guide them from start to finish – everything from finding their best fit school and major to helping them find their voice in the college essay. Students can be done with their applications BEFORE senior year begins IF they start early. We suggest sophomores join with us in early 2025 (and you only pay the Jr/Sr rate). Do you know that many of the South Branch Emergency Services EMTs and Rescue Associates who provide emergency medical care, transport, and land and water rescue in Clinton Township and across northern Hunterdon County are highly trained and dedicated volunteers? We rely on our volunteers to serve this community, and we need more of them. We need YOU! Experience is not required – if you've got the heart, we'll show you the way! Many join SBES with no prior medical or first response experience. We provide our members with free, state-of-the-art training at our own facility, preparing them to help their neighbors in emergencies and even save lives. So what are you waiting for? Join us! You'll learn new skills, forge new friendships, and become part of a great team. Be impressed by what YOU can do! To learn more or sign up, go to: www.SBES365.org.
