1 1 d e c e m b e r 2 0 2 4 n e x t s t e P A d v i s i n g Welcome to December! Seniors, many of you have sent out the bulk of your applications and are waiting to hear from the admission's office. Don't forget to keep following up in the portals! And, you may want to think about sending those first marking period grades too, in addition to anything new, since you sent in those applications! I do have availability for individual appointments if there are still seniors needing assistance and have questions; it is not too late, but don't wait too much longer or your options will be far and few between! First-Year Students, Sophomores, and Juniors just received their scores back on the PSAT. It is really important to actually DO something with those scores. Now. Do you know what to do? Each student is different, but the first thing a student should do when they get back a test is to figure out what went well and what needs work. I can help students with a test-prep game plan (even if that means taking an alternative test and/or going test-optional) in addition to offering services that assist students in finding their best fit college and career/major. By the time you are reading this, my junior year caseload will most likely be full (I can still work with them the summer prior to senior year if space permits), and it is time for SOPHOMORES (and first year students) to jump on board. I take a limited amount of students each year as I devote a lot of time to each student and family during the process and I cover everything from start to finish. It is essential the student and family find the best academic, social, and financial fit. I take pride in thinking out of the box and being an invaluable part of the college admission process for your family. Please call or email Next Step Advising, LLC at: 908.642.8509/nicole@nextstepadvising.com to schedule a consult and we can discuss ways I might be able to help your student during the process!
