I N O U R S C H O O L S : Spruce Run School F a l l i s h e r e a n d o u r students are excited to be exploring leaves, apples and friendships! Students have been matching leaves by size, shape and color and explored different parts of a leaf by creating leaf rubbings. Students also painted leaves on a tree to match our changing leaves outside. The hallways are filled with color! Classrooms explored apples and made apple prints with paint. Students discovered that there is a star in the center when you slice it in half! F r i e n d s h i p s h a v e b e e n blooming throughout Spruce Run as the students have been learning and practicing how to be a good friend. Being thankful is the theme for the month of November. Our classrooms are exploring who and what we are thankful for and will be participating in activities to express our appreciation. Patrick McGaheran School O u r P M G s c h o o l community celebrated National Custodian Day in October. We held a "Drop Everything and Dance" celebration to recognize our custodial team who work so hard to keep our school clean and safe. This past summer, school staff and family members worked to enhance the PMG courtyard and to revitalize the greenhouse to be ready for our students to grow plants throughout the school year. Round Valley School From October 7- October 11 Round Valley students and staff celebrated the Week of Respect in New Jersey. The week began with an all-school meeting where students participated in a name greeting, a fun body percussion song with music teacher Amanda Livesey, and learned more about the week of respect with Mrs. Postma and Mr. Ruttenberg leading a presentation. After the meeting all members of the school added to a gigantic paper chain in which each link listed something that could be done to show respect or ways to be respectful. Each day of the week was also a spirit day, such as "Hats Off to Respect Day." Clinton Township Middle School CTMS will be participating in the New Jersey State Bar Foundations law program again this year. We have four teams who will be learning about courtroom law and writing original cases for the mock trial competition. Last year we had two first place teams, so the BAR has been set very high for these students! Students in Mrs. DiGioia's art classes have been busy shaping their talents... with some seasonal artwork! Thanks to the Green Team, the PMG courtyard and the greenhouse is now ready for our students to grow plants throughout the school year!
