If you're interested in community service opportunities, meeting new people, expanding your knowledge base, and looking to have fun, then The Flemington Woman's Club is the right place for you! All women are invited to be our guest! Not all members live in Flemington – many live in surrounding towns. We help many charities in the surrounding area, primarily that support woman and children. Our different departments and committees allow you to find projects that fit your schedule and interests. We meet September through May, the second Wednesday of the month. The Flemington Woman's Club will host a September Open House with a Welcome Back Luncheon at the Flemington Woman's Club located at 43 Park Avenue in Flemington on September 11 at noon. All area women are invited to be our guest for lunch, learn about all we do to support community groups and the fun activities we provide. At our September meeting, our guest speaker Carol Simon Levin will impersonate Emily Warren Roebling to tell the story of the woman who helped manage the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. Carol Simon Levin County Library is a Youth Services Librarian at the Bridgewater Branch of the Somerset County Library. She is an experienced storyteller and a member of the New Jersey Storyteller's Network and the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators. To RSVP, please email: vhoinowski@aol.com before September 4, and use FWC as the subject line. To learn more about The Flemington Woman's Club, please visit our website: www.FlemingtonWomansClub.org. We look forward to meeting you! v o l u n T e e r g u a r d i a n s h i p o n e o n o n e Volunteer Guardianship One on One (VGOO) is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 with a mission to provide compassionate one on one guardianship services to legally incapacitated adults through the education, oversight and support of dedicated volunteers. VGOO is the only nonprofit organization in New Jersey, and one of only a few in the country, that utilize volunteers to serve as guardians for incapacitated adults with no one else to serve in this role. Because of our volunteers, older people with dementia and other adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities have someone that is committed to just one person and making sure that they are living their lives in a manner that reflects their wishes and values and ensures they are safe, their assets are protected, and they are not forgotten. More info, visit: www.VolunteerGuardianship.org. o u r p l a c e . . . o u r h o m e . . . o u r T o W n From the moment you stroll across town... or approach our historic cast-iron bridge... when you first see our iconic Red Mill or the Hunterdon Art Museum and gain a glimpse of the beauty that is Clinton, NJ, with its eclectic mix of speciality shops, restaurants and boutique service offerings at places where merchants come to know you by first name, it's hard not to notice how blessed we are. Of course the beauty, the charm... the hometown feel... it doesn't happen by chance, but instead with consistent and worthwhile effort! Whether you're a life long resident, or brand new to our treasured area, whether you live in town, or from a nearby township, this is our place. It is special – this is our home – this is OUR town! It wouldn't be the same without you! For more information, visit the Clinton Guild website: www.VisitClintonNJ.com.
