National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. This year, millions of neighbors will take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Join us for this fun-filled evening at Bundt Park from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for free food, drinks and entertainment, with safety demonstrations, a chance to meet your first responders, exhibits, a classic car show and much, much more! Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with best practice standards in five basic areas: the administrative function, the personnel function, the operations function, the investigative function, and the arrestee/detainee function. Agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling: 908.735.6000 on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:00 am. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. Email comments can be sent to the police department at: pknutowicz@ctpd.org. Telephone comments are limited to five minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with the NJSACOP standards.
