C O M Mane Stream (adaptive riding and therapy services) is seeking donations of new and gently used tack or horse related items for its Tack Sale to be held on Sunday, November 17 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Mane Stream has a contactless drop-off for unwanted bridles, saddles, blankets, tack boxes as well as out grown boots, breeches, jackets, and any horse related jewelry, models or knick- knacks. Make a difference by supporting the Mane Stream mission to improve the quality of life for children and adults with physical, developmental, emotional and medical challenges through a diverse program of equine assisted activities, therapy services and educational initiatives. This event is an important part of the yearly fundraising plan with all proceeds to benefit Mane Stream's horses, adaptive riding program, therapy services (OT, PT, SLP, Counseling), and other equine assisted programs including "Horses for Healing: Cancer and Parkinson's Disease." All donations can be dropped off at the stable at 83 Old Turnpike Rd. Oldwick office location during office hours. Mane Stream, situated at 83 Old Turnpike Road in Oldwick, NJ, cordially invites the community to their Open House event on Saturday, March 23 from 12-2:00 pm. Get an in-depth look at their therapy services, including OT, PT, SLP, and Counseling, as well as a FREE program called Horses for Healing for people living with Cancer and Parkinson's Disease. Several openings are currently available for therapy services and the upcoming Horses for Healing program which starts in April. Meet the friendly staff, take a tour of the facility, and learn about the physical and emotional advantages of interacting with horses. Every visit to the farm is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the horses, explore the grounds, and gain insights into the Mane Stream programs in which each child or adult participates. Or just swing by to pet a pony or two and put a smile on your face! It's all grins for Reagan of Flemington riding Joe as she competed in her first Mane Stream Horse Show. Assisting her are Instructor, Alex Willard of Easton and volunteer leader Janie Murphy of Bridgewater and sidewalker Tara Lolacono of High Bridge.
