Clinton Township resident Michael Curci wrote us to let us know that every
year he makes sure his circa 1895, Victorian home is decked out in its finest
for the holidays! (at 12 Kiceniuk Road in Annandale) It's truly a must-see!
Dear Julie, I just read your [Dec 2023] Editor's column.... ahhhhh
such memories... My kids are 23, 21 and 18 now and your column brought
me down memory lane. Times back then were so hectic, but now so
missed. Have a very Merry Christmas, Deb Nolan
Hi Deb, Thank you -- I miss those days and, like the song
says, we thought they'd never end! I'm so grateful that we were
able to raise our kids in [Blossom Hill] such a great neighborhood
with great friends and neighbors -- and my kids say the same thing
– it was such a great place for them to grow up! ... Mine are now
30, 27 and 24. They're great people and I love being with them
so much, but I do miss the little kid days. Oh well, hopefully
on to the grandparent chapter one of these days!
I hope you and your family have a very
Merry Christmas, too! Julie

Glorious Painted Ladies!
Hi Julie: Thank you, as always for
including the WF (Women's Forum) in your Newsletter.
Such a thrill to find us there!
The moment I saw your December cover I had one
thought only: AUNTIE MAME!!! One of my favorite stories of
all time, AUNTIE MAME, the book written by her nephew Patrick
Dennis is the absolute delight from which the movie and play have
gloriously and glitteringly derived.
The Rosalind Russell movie version is a must see on my Holiday
viewing schedule. Such fun, such a wonderful character, so
marvelously played by Ms. Russell!!
I wish you and your family all the very best this Holiday Season.
I am so grateful to CTNL for your generosity this year to our
program. – Every Blessing, Evelyn
"Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers
are starving to death!"
– Rosalind Russell as Auntie Mame
Dear Evelyn – I love the association you have of comparing
the December 2023 to Auntie Mame – I see it! I know the story
but I've never seen the film, but now it's definitely at the top
of my winter movie-viewing list! I wish you and your
family Happy Holidays and all the best in
2024! – Sincerely, Julie
