What We Do: • Visit veterans in eighteen nursing homes throughout Hunterdon and Warren counties, providing Christmas gifts to each veteran in the homes, along with providing entertainment and companionship. • Visit schools in Hunterdon and Warren counties, sharing our service experiences, history of the P u r p l e Heart and answering questions. • Contribute to scholarships for the children of veterans. • Provide resource information to assist veterans, their dependents and survivors, in obtaining their rightful benefits. • Provide resource information to help veterans and their family members obtain/ replace lost or stolen medals. • Place flags on the graves of veterans. • Attend flag retirement and other ceremonies. • Participate in the installment of monuments in Hunterdon and Warren counties honoring both living and deceased Purple Heart recipients. • Participate in parades and celebrations in Hunterdon and Warren counties. How Your Donation is Spent: Your donations are spent on veterans in both Hunterdon and Warren counties.
