C O M C L I N T O N T O W N S H I P S C H O O L N E W S www.ctsdnj.org Hello Clinton Township School Community, On the first of May we will share our official budget with the public. We use the budget as a tool to provide a quality educational environment for the students and staff in Clinton Township School District. You can access the board meeting live feed on May 1 by registering at: ctsdnj.org/district/board_of_education/b_o_e_meeting_zoom_registration. This year our proposed budget is staying at the 2% cap. It is no secret that health care, fuel, food, and a variety of other costs have increased. We are able to keep to the 2% increase this year, despite the rise in costs. The district has applied to the state for grants to fund ongoing maintenance projects and we continue to look for other funding sources. We are also asking the public to vote on funding either one or two School Resource Officers outside of the regular budget. This will be done through a budget question that will be on the ballot in November. At that time, taxpayers can decide if they would like to fund a full-time armed police officer to cover the schools in the district so teachers and staff have the safety and support needed to focus on student learning and well being. We are proud to be able to continue offering a quality education environment. – Sincerely, Dr. Melissa Stager, Ed.D Superintendent, CTSD A MESSAGE FROM DR. STAGER, CTSD SUPERINTENDENT: What Do We Do?
