Girl Scout Troop 80226 have completed their Bronze Award service project. The fifteen girls from Clinton Township examined several needs within the community, and chose to work on the need that food pantries and shelters have for hygiene items. Families using these services need full-sized shampoo, soap, toothpaste, menstrual products, and more. Troop 80226 worked to raise awareness of the need, collected donations at several sites, and spent some of their Cookie earnings to purchase bulk quantities for Family Promise of Hunterdon County and the Flemington Food Pantry. The girls share: "We encourage you to remember hygiene items when organizing food drives or donating to the pantry or shelter!" To find out more, visit: www.GirlScouts.org.
