It's happening! The Empty Bowl is BACK. This year, the Flemington Food Pantry will be offering a drive-up event for you to pick up your lunch of soup, a one-of-a-kind artisan bowl made and donated by a local potter, and extras to take home and enjoy. Mark your calendars for Friday, October 22 from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm at the Flemington Food Pantry's location across the parking lot from the front of the Flemington Walmart. Although the event will take on a new appearance this year due to Covid– now being a drive-up event with a take-out lunch—your $30 order will include a beautiful ceramic bowl along with 10 oz. reheatable container of soup donated by a local restaurant, a small sandwich, dessert and water. There will also be a pottery sale nearby in the Walmart parking lot to benefit the Pantry. More details on how to place orders and which restaurants will be participating will be available soon. For more information, visit https://flemingtonfoodpantry.org/ or sign up for the food pantry updates on social media. With supplementary home deliveries, new special programs and 520 additional families using the Pantry this past year, the Pantry commitment continues to provide food and personal care items to those most in need in Hunterdon County.
