The Tewksbury Historical Society will hold a Tag Sale on Memorial
Day Weekend, Saturday, May 29, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Oldwick
Carriage House, 5 James Street, Oldwick, 08858.
The Society will be selling quality items, which have been cleaned,
polished and are operable. Garden items, antiques, artworks, crystal, a large
set of champagne glasses, a set of "union sponsored" 24 carat gold edged dish
service from the '30's, a Bavarian dish service for 12, silver pieces, housewares,
costume jewelry, linens, lamps and lamp shades will be among the available
merchandise.
The furniture selection includes a large art-deco wall mirror, a Victorian
fi re screen, an ornate oak headboard, an antique carriage blanket, braided
rugs, a folding mahogany coff ee table, mahogany end tables and a large oak
rocking chair. Of special interest are a glass-topped garden/bistro table with
four matching chairs and a Victorian style double-light lamp. COVID-19
restrictions applicable at that time will be observed. Attendance will be limited
and patrons and staff must wear face coverings.
The Tewksbury Historical Society is a New Jersey not-for-profi t
corporation. It was organized for the purpose of furthering research into
and the preservation and dissemination of the history of the Township of
Tewksbury. The Society requests donations of documents, records and small
artifacts related to Tewksbury's History for its archives. Find out more at:

IT'S A TOTAL COINCIDENCE, but isn't this interesting? After going
to print with the May 2021 Issue of CTNL, we saw this cover of the
May 2021 issue of Food & Wine magazine. Our's was a collage of many
different things, inspired by a painting in the Hague, 'Vase of Flowers',
by the painter Jan Davidsz. de Heem. It was painted in 1670 (and is in
the public domain.) To that we added a collage of other still-lives from
the 1600's (also public domain) as well as purchased photographs,
including roses and lots of critters. We
