"Summer is a promissory note signed in June, its long days spent and gone before you know it, and due to be repaid next January." ~ Hal Borland IT'S A TOTAL COINCIDENCE, but isn't this interesting? After going to print with the May 2021 Issue of CTNL, we saw this cover of the May 2021 issue of Food & Wine magazine. Our's was a collage of many different things, inspired by a painting in the Hague, 'Vase of Flowers', by the painter Jan Davidsz. de Heem. It was painted in 1670 (and is in the public domain.) To that we added a collage of other still-lives from the 1600's (also public domain) as well as purchased photographs, including roses and lots of critters. We ♥ this F&W cover! – JF
