"When most people think of New Jersey, the images they have are smokestacks, refi neries, and the airport. They don't know about the stunning hills and landscapes that are green in the spring and summer, colorful in the fall and blanketed with white snow in the winter, or the beautiful farmlands in the western part of the state," said Schmidt. "There are also many majestic birds, diverse wildlife, and historic landmarks, and I enjoy capturing all of these amazing images." Schmidt's pictures have been featured on a number of popular photography sites, including NJ in Bloom, North Jersey Adventures, NJ Shooterz, NJ Local Wildlife and NJ Nature.
