Since most members of our family now have received some or all of their
Covid19 vaccines, we are planning to have some of them over (a small
group of about ten people or less) for Mother's Day. This will be the
rst time we've hosted a family get-together since Christmas of 2019,
and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again! (I love you, Mom!)
While this pandemic continues to be scary and dangerous, at
the same time there's a lot of joy all around. I feel it everywhere I go
when I'm out and about in Clinton Township. People are happy to be
vaccinated, thrilled to be able to see one another again, and delighted
that spring is upon us. The days are longer, the weather is (for the
most part) clement, and we have a good deal of beautiful days ahead
of us.
At the same time, I think we're all feeling a little light-headed (at
least, I am) from the events of this past year, the tragedy that Covid19
has wreaked on our country (and the world), and the abnormality of
having our work lives and our social lives upended. I nd myself having
to check my technology to see what day it is because it's all kind of
oating together these days. (Is it Wednesday?)
My work wardrobe has, over time, begun to emulate my pajamas –
decent enough to run errands in but comfortable enough to sleep in.
But don't worry, I hardly ever do that. Meanwhile, my nicer clothes
remain in my closet, awaiting events that may or may not happen
again soon. I'm going to cut this short and try to enjoy this day, as it
is. I hope you can too!
I hope you and your families have a very Happy Mother's Day
and a beautiful May!

Dear Julie,
I continue to be more and more impressed with
every issue on what you've accomplished with this
Newsletter. Amazing!!! Brilliant!!! It certainly doesn't
look like a small town publication anymore. Thank
you for all you contribute to keeping Clinton Township
the place that will always remain foremost in my mind
the favorite place to live and raise a child.
Love & Blessings, Linda Lauchaire
RE-USE and RECYCLE! A Clinton Township resident sent me this photo
of a care package that she made for her adult child, using the March
2021 issue cover of the Clinton Township Newsletter as part of the
decoration. I'm so happy when CTNL can be used for other purposes
after it's read. I love it – Thank you, dear reader! And to the rest of
you, send me photos of ways in which you've re-used CTNL too! – JF
