ClintonTownship Middle School
Student Ambassadors: In November of 2020,
the Ambassadors initiated a food drive that was
expanded to include the 7th grade and extended
through December. Together, they were able to donate
approximately 100 pounds of food to the Open Cupboard in
Clinton. They were SO thankful and we all learned something new.
Although it is easiest to ask for canned goods during collections,
the Food Pantry is always short on spices, salt, pepper, sugar, flour,
and coffee.
"Caring and Kindness" was February's theme for the
Student Ambassadors. At their last meeting, students
decided to focus their efforts on Suicide Prevention Awarness
through supporting The Peyton Heart Project (www.
ThePeytonHeartProject.org). Ambassadors made
Peyton Hearts; each one was made by hand and represents
the delicate heart of a life lost to suicide. These hearts
each have inspiring quotes, information about
The Peyton Heart Project, and resource websites
attached to them.
Some of the finished hearts
will be distributed around
CTMS and others will be
placed throughout our
community. Ambassadors
will choose where to place
them... around town, in a
mailbox, tied to a fence,
left on a bench, placed in a
tree…they will be creative!
The hope is that finding
the hearts will cause people to stop for a moment and
reflect on a life lost and the fact that everyone's
life matters, and also leave them with a feeling that
there is still hope and good out there in the world.
The Student Ambassadors continue to challenge
themselves to have a positive impact on our community.

considered for future support, please reach out to Mrs. Kerry
