More people buying and fewer people selling has caused home prices to escalate. However, with a vaccine on the horizon, more homeowners will be putting their houses on the market. This will better balance supply with demand and slow down the rapid appreciation. That's why major organizations in the housing industry are calling for much more moderate home appreciation next year. Here are the most recent forecasts for 2021: *National Association of Realtors: 4.5% *Freddie Mac: 2.6% *Fannie Mae: 2.1% Source KCM Real Estate Blog Call Clinton Township resident Joseph Tersigni, Sales Associate at Weichert Realtors at: 908.735.8140, or email: joseph@jerseyhomz.com. When someone in your community needs help, South Branch's EMTs and rescue associates – the majority of whom are volunteers - provide emergency medical care, hospital transport, and rescue services. "Saving lives and helping others is an i n c r e d i b l y rewarding experience," said South Branch Chief Frank Setnicky. "This isn't hyperbole or a hypothetical – there are people in the Town of Clinton, Township of Clinton, High Bridge, Lebanon Borough, and portions of Franklin Township, Bethlehem Township, and Union Township who would no longer be here if it weren't for our volunteers." "Volunteers who work so closely together in such an important way form strong bonds," said South Branch volunteer Walter Dorf, a Rescue Lieutenant who also drives the ambulance. "This is giving back to the community, and it's also being part of the South Branch family," Dorf said. South Branch has an immediate need for volunteers. Call volumes have been trending upward for many years, and South Branch must have enough EMTs and rescue associates to meet this need. T h e s q u a d i s a c o m b i n a t i o n squad, with paid, career personnel who serve primarily weekday hours, when volunteers are at work. The fewer volunteers, the more paid personnel must be hired, Dorf notes, and residents of the municipalities served would bear that cost. "In addition to the important medical role we provide, volunteers help keep our tax rate down in the communities we live in," he said. Dorf, 52, is an accounts manager for a HVAC manufacturer and he also volunteers with Clinton Fire Department, where he was formerly chief. He serves at South Branch alongside his wife, Carol, a volunteer EMT. The Dorfs' son and daughter are adults now, and the empty nesters wanted to invest their new free time in a meaningful and rewarding way way.
