"If you're not barefoot, then you're overdressed." ~ Unknown There are many different things that can cause foot pain, and I'm going to go through a few things in this article for you to try to help yourself . If these questions don't help you, then you'll know that you'll need to go see a podiatrist to see if he or she can help you. The first thing you need to consider is, do your feet hurt you all the time? If they don't, when do they hurt? Do they hurt in your shoes? If so, are you wearing the right shoes? You need to be wearing the correct shoes for the activity that you're doing, i.e. if you're trying to walk or exercise in thin shoes, loafers, heels or work boots, then you're not wearing the correct shoes. Now that you've fixed this problem, let's look to see if they are properly fitted. You need to have a thumb's width from the end of your biggest toe to the end of the shoe. If your toes are all the way to the end of the shoe then your shoe is too small. You may not be the same shoe size that you were years ago. Your feet can stretch out, expand and get bigger, so you might need to buy bigger shoes. Importantly, you also need to get new shoes. Those old sneakers that are worn down are not doing you any good! Let's find out if you have other things going on. Do you have numbness in your feet or your toes? Does this happen all the time or once in a while? If this happens all the time then you may have neuropathy, which can be related to diabetes. You should have your feet checked by a podiatrist. If this happens once in a while then your feet may get better if you're wearing the right shoes. If you're having heel pain that only happens when you get up in the morning or when you get up from a sitting position, you may have plantar fasciitis. This is an inflammation of the ligament on the bottom of your foot. There are a lot of different treatments out there which you can try, but I wouldn't recommend overstretching or using a frozen soda can too much. Obviously, if it doesn't go away in a couple weeks then you should go see a podiatrist. He or she can help you tremendously – and no, you don't always have to get a cortisone injection. I started making masks as soon as people started wearing them and did a lot of research to make a unique, adjustable, safe, and very comfortable mask. Since people will need to wear them as we get back to going out again, I think they're very important to preventing or reducing a second wave. I am selling them on my new Etsy shop and, because my training in Girl Scouts taught me to give back to the community, I am donating a mask to the hospital for every one I sell. My Etsy shop link is: lianarivasdesigns. etsy.com. We are happy to offer FREE non-contact local pickup. You can apply the coupon code: LOCALPICKUP at checkout to take advantage of this opportunity. Thank you in advance! – Juliana Gonzalez-Rivas
